1997 Central Warriors: lost to Hinkley 62-42 in title game. Brandon Millholland, Nate Campbell, Rodney Pierce. Vern McGee was HC.
2008 Glenwood Springs Demons: Dakota Stonehouse threw for two TDs and ran for another in state title game win over Ft. Morgan. Kevin Screen caught a TD pass and Michael Hudson rushed for 117 yards. Rocky Whitworth was the HC.
1988 GJ Tigers: Doug Musgrave, Matt Phillips, Shane Lee, Ryan Lenderman. Late Dave Warmack was HC.
2000 Fruita Monument Wildcats. Lost 4A title to Loveland 17-12. QB Ryan Jobe, All-Colorado safety/wr Miles Kochever, All-SWL LB Wacey Clarke. Tight end Jeff Rosenberg. RB Andy Coren. FB Bobby Sorensen. Bill Moore was HC.
2010 Olathe Pirates. Beat Brush 14-13 to win 2A title. Led by RB Kyle Piatt with over 1,000 yards and 19 TDS. QB Keiffer Wollert had over 880 yards passing with 10 TDS and 1 int. Ryan Corn was HC.
2003 Palisade Bulldogs. Beat Florence 24-6 to win 3A title. Led by 3A All-State player QB Dustin Harris. Kyle Britton was the WSC Player of the Year and led them at running back. Todd Casebeier was the HC.
Corn Region:
2005 Grand Junction Tigers. Lost to ThunderRidge 51-21 in 4A title game at Invesco. Went 13-1, led by QB Isiah Quigley, RB Kris Means and WR’s Justin Murray and Shay Starr.
2004 Rifle Bears. Beat Sterling 7-6. Kyle Sanderson threw a TD pass to Jordan Robinson with Sanderson kicking the winning extra point. Darrell Gorham was HC.
1997 Palisade Bulldogs. Beat Salida 47-7 to win 3A title, four in a row. Matt Clifford had two interceptions, a fumble recovery and three first half TDS. Tyler Hawkins rushed for 170 yards on 26 carries. Ryan McCall rushed for two TDS and passed for another. Joe Rammuno was the HC.
2013 Montrose Indians. Lost to Pine Creek 49-14 in 4A title game. RB Mike Rocha led the Indians ground game.
2014 Paonia Eagles. Won the 1A state title with a 21-7 win over Buena Vista. Current CMU tight Dagen Rienks was the QB. Taylor Walters led the ground game with 2,282 and 34 TDS. Jeremiah Hillman rushed for 1,037 and 10 TDS. Brett McCrae was the HC.
1980 Glenwood Springs Demons. Beat Fountain Ft. Carson 21-6 to win 2A title.
Noxon Region:
2012 Rifle Bears. Lost to Silver Creek 32-15 in 3A title game. 13-1. Ryan Moeller rushed for 3,002 yards and 43 touchdowns. Kellin Leigh rushed for 1,174 and 12 TDS.
1960 Delta Panthers. Won 2A title 12-7 over Canon City.
1966 Fruita High Wildcats. Won 2A title 27-0 over Yuma. RB Rich Paris with lineman Clarence Ross and Steve Stone. 9-0 regular season and gave up just 14 points. HOF Coach Bill Noxon led Fruita.
2003 Fruita Monument Wildcats. Lost to Loveland 34-13 in 4A state championship game. LB Cody Walker was a three time All-SWL LB. Billy Moore was HC.
1957 Grand Junction Tigers. Won upper 2A title 22-0 over Lakewood.
1950 Montrose Indians. Won A title with their 20-7 win over Lakewood. John Hogg was the QB and had a talented receiving trio of Phil Pratt, Tex Whiteman and Kenneth Townsend. Frank Mascarenas was the Indians’ defensive standout.
Casebier Region:
1973 Rifle Bears. Beat Yuma 8-7. Kirk Swallow played receiver and defensive end. QB Ray Halls threw 50 yard TD pass to Swallow with RB Russell Hiner scoring on a two point conversion run. Gordon Cooper was the HC.
2019 Delta Panthers. Lost to Sterling 27-19 in 2A title game. QB Nolan Bynum one of the top passers in 2A with 2,556 and 34 TDS. Hunter Hughes led receivers with 52-1,026 and 17 TDS. Ben Johnson is HC.
1994 Palisade Bulldogs: Brandon Hickey, Dan Burke, Ben Steele, Josh Dewitt, Mike Fuller. Joe Rammuno was HC.
1991 Montrose Indians. Lost to Trinidad 28-24 in 4A championship game. Dirk Johnson was QB and went on to play safety and punted on back to back D2 national title teams at Northern Colorado. Punted in the NFL and punted for the Eagles in the 2005 SB. Justin Westbrook played defensive line.
2012 Cedaredge Bruins. Beat top seed Buena Vista 18-16 to win 1A title. Carter Wasser and Reid Gates had rushing TD’s in win. Dante Markley was starting QB, but was hurt in semis against Hotchkiss. Played in title game with Trent Walker also playing QB.
2008 Olathe Pirates. Beat Erie 22-21 OT. Freshman Sergio Salazar hit game winning extra point. David Rhodes rushed for 12 fourth quarter points and had 22-223. Ryan Corn was HC.
